DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERTISE

In addition to the core requirements we look for, the candidate will ideally have:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting
  • CPA license (or in process)
  • 1 – 3 years related work experience
  • Experience in preparing financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and full disclosure notes
  • Knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Familiarity/proficiency in Prosystems Tax Software and ProSystems Engagement
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in client operations and/or weakness in systems of internal controls.
  • Excellent computer skills, predominately in various electronic workpapers, and MS Office products

Many Cover & Rossiter employees work 60-95 percent of a typical work week in which they have set their own schedule to conform to the needs of their personal life.

Cover & Rossiter enforces a maximum of 55 hours per week during tax season, whereas most other accounting companies enforce a minimum. We believe that employees who are well rested and not overworked produce more accurate, efficient products and services for our clients.
