990 Public Information

Did you know that the Form 990, Schedule B (Schedule of Contributors) is open for public inspection for all Form 990 filers? It must be made available in its entirety for organizations that file a Form 990-PF or who file as a political organization. But that is nothing new. Now all other Form 990-filing organizations must make their Schedule of Contributors available for public inspection with the only exception being the disclosure of the donors’ names and addresses. All other information, including the dollar amount of donations given and the descriptions of noncash contributions, must be made available to the public unless the donor could be clearly identified.
