GMC includes services for personal and business planning such as succession planning, budgeting, retirement planning, R&D tax credit, and data analytics. Marie also leads the firm’s “Future Ready” initiative and is focused on creating and adopting innovative ways to operate the business.  She is committed to developing leaders and advisors within the organization and not just technical experts.

During her tenure as Managing Director, Cover & Rossiter was a 2018 recipient of the Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business award which honors businesses and nonprofits for their outstanding achievements and model approaches to business and management.  In addition, Cover & Rossiter was one of five firms selected from across the country to participate in the Private Company Practice Section (PCPS) George Willie Ethnically Diverse Student Scholarship and Internship Program.

She also is a member of the Delaware State Society of CPAs, Wilmington Tax Group, and Estate Planning Council of Delaware.

In early 2021, Marie was recognized by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce as its Board Member of the Year. The Commerce staff chose Marie as the honoree for her leadership, guidance, and volunteer time towards the Superstars in Business awards program.

A graduate of St. Marks High School and University of Delaware (BA 1988, MBA 2001), Marie has strong roots in the community and believes in “paying it forward” in regards to her commitment to service.  She has served as a volunteer on the boards of Newark Day Nursery, UD New Directions Head Start, Newark Morning Rotary, Middletown Chamber of Commerce, and many other organizations.

Marie considers her greatest accomplishment in life as raising three wonderful children with her husband, Al.  Her children are Meghan, Kristen and AJ.  She enjoys vacationing with her family in South Bethany, reading and exercising.
