Delaware Business Times announced Eric Williams, CPA, ACI, Principal in this year’s class of 40 under 40, young professionals making a difference in their workplaces and the community.
Managing Director, Marie Holliday, recommended Eric for the award. Marie said, “We are proud of our team and especially Eric for this recognition as well as being recognized in late 2015 as a Top 10 Public Accounting Professional Rising Star in Delaware by the National Academy of Public Accounting Professionals.”
In Eric’s 13 years with the firm, he has earned promotion after promotion, quickly earning the title of Principal and is responsible for a substantial segment of the firm’s revenue. His hard work, dedication to his craft and extensive knowledge of accounting, nonprofits and Captive Insurance have landed him in this leadership role. He has successfully designed and implemented a strategy for captive insurance company audit engagements.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (with a 3.9 GPA), Eric passed all four sections of the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination on his first sitting. Eric holds a CPA license in the State of Delaware and a Series 65 license (Registered Investment Advisor Representative). Eric is an Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation candidate through the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) and also has received training through the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
Now in its third year, the DBT40 event recognizes Delaware’s achievers and innovators. This year’s process generated over 90 nominations. The judging panel, which included business leaders and former winners, decided based on professional accomplishments and community engagement.
The recognized young professionals will be honored at an Oct. 13 reception at Hercules Plaza.
