DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
In addition to the core requirements we look for, the candidate will ideally have experience with:
- Analyzing financial information in order to understand the business and assist business owners and management in future financial decisions. Identify ways to provide client with “added value”
- Identifying important issues and reporting them to management
- Software tools: QuickBooks, SAGE, MS Office products, and other products of the department
- Financial Statement preparation, Bank reconciliations, A/P, Fixed Assets, Payroll and related filings, and Budgeting
- Maintaining current cash balances and communicating these balances to the client
- Gross receipts filings
- Workers compensation and unemployment audits
- Gathering information for preparation of 1099s at year-end
- Gathering information for 401k service provider
- Preparation of workpapers to support balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with tax preparation and planning
- Identifying ways to increase productivity and efficiency by simplifying procedures
- Consistent quality control
- Managing own work or that of others
