GEOFF
LANGDON, CPA
As a
Managing Director of Cover & Rossiter, Geoff focuses on
strategic personal and business planning, promoting
profitability and individual net worth. His primary areas of
expertise include accounting and auditing, taxation,
management consulting, financial planning, investment
advisory services, litigation support and business
valuation. Geoff is a member of Wilmington Economic
and Financial Advisory Council (WEFAC) and a commissioner
for Wilmington Housing Authority (WHA). Geoff serves as a consultant for numerous
companies on corporate direction, financing alternatives and
tax strategies.
Prior to
joining our firm in 1986, Geoff was Executive Assistant to
the Vice President for Finance of the University of
Pennsylvania and was integrally involved in various debt
financing. Previously, Geoff was a supervisor at Coopers &
Lybrand in Philadelphia, where he planned and supervised
audit engagements, and was the accountant in charge of
complex corporate accounts.
Geoff’s
broad industry experience includes
distribution, retail, financial management, real estate and
construction. Providing frequent expert court testimony on
contractual matters and personal injury, Geoff has testified
at federal and state levels.
He is a
graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a BS in
Accounting and is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Delaware Society of
Certified Public Accountants, and the Wilmington Rotary
Club. Geoff is also a Diplomat of the American Board of
Forensic Accountants and a graduate of Leadership Delaware.
Geoff also teaches an Accounting course at University of
Delaware.
Geoff enjoys
spending time with his family and taking summer trips to his
mountain house in North Carolina. He is also a sports enthusiast,
coaching his four boys in either basketball or baseball.
